With 134 runners participating in the Bob & Ron's 5k. MPRRC is off to a good start for 2008.

Kensuke Taylor, Aaron Pierson and David Carlsson had a close race for first place, which Taylor ended up winning. On the women's side former HPU runner Masako Sagawa ran away with the title, while Kristin Ali Keith and Gabi Jenkins followed closely behind.

Bosetti 10k., January 1, 2008

With 93 participants, the Bosetti 10k. got the running community 2008 off on the right foot. Starting close to Sandy Beach and heading into the valley made for a tough challenge and a great start to the New Year! On the way home the runners found themselves challenged by Heartbreak Hill…it seemed though like everybody was ready for the hill and in a good mood for 2008 and new challenges.

In the lead former HPU runner, Todd Iacovelli, was closely followed by present HPU runner Jens Munk Nielsen, finishing within 10 seconds of each other. Third was visiting runner Ben Sauvage.

In the women’s division Lisa Obara and Kristin Ali Keith placed first and second respectively, while Kristy Rice placed third.
